The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the results of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main in which around 12 lakh aspirants had appeared in April.

The exam is held to shortlist candidates seeking admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes at National Institutes of Technology (NIT), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) and other centrally-funded technical institutions (CFTI).

JEE Main Result 2017

JEE Main Result 2017 - The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) will be releasing the JEE Main result and score card of JEE Main Paper-I on April 27, 2017 and of Paper-II on May 27, 2017. The applicants will be able to access the JEE Main 2017 Result only in online mode. The JEE Main result will consist of the secured scores in the examination by the applicant. However, the ranks will be released later in the month of June by the admission committee. The JEE Main Result 2017 will be available after the submission of roll number and date of birth of the applicant. The secured scores in the JEE Main 2017 result will comprise of the actual marks obtained in Paper-I along with the status of those applicants who have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2017. JEE Main 2017 Exam Schedule

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the conducting authority for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017. This national level entrance exam will be held on April 2, 2017 (offline mode) and Aril 8, 9, 2017 (online mode). All the students who are participating in this examination will be eagerly waiting for JEE Main Results 2017.

The application form was available from December 1, 2016 to January 16, 2017 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Students were allowed to pay the application fees till January 18, 2017. This year, CBSE has introduced Adhaar Card number as a mandatory criteria to fulfil the registration process. If any student doesn’t have Adhaar card number, his or her JEE main 2017 application was not accepted.

JEE main paper II, which is held for B.Arch and B.Planning, will be held in offline mode on April 2, 2017. JEE Main Paper 2 Result will also be announced on April 27, 2017 by the admission committee. After this, the counselling will begin tentatively in the month of July by Joint Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

Welcome to JEE Main 2017

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has notified following two changes in the JEE pattern for 2017:

1.     There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination,

2.     For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

The States of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha & some other institutions have joined JEE (Main) system, however, their admission criteria will be notified by the concerned authorities. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main)–2017  application form online. The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
